CDA Independence Design Challenge: When Typography Becomes the Language of Freedom

CDA Independence Design Challenge: When Typography Becomes the Language of Freedom

Summary

How will you express the spirit of independence in your own visual language?

Freedom resists rigid forms and sets boundaries.

For each person, it can be the right to think differently, choose their own path, or express themselves without being limited by existing stereotypes.

In design, that spirit is reflected through how we perceive a problem, develop an idea, and create our own visual language.

That is also the spirit behind the CDA Independence Design Challenge 2026: TYPE OF FREEDOM - a creative playground organized by Collective Design Agency (CDA) for those who want to explore and express personal perspectives through typography and visual arts.

One typeface. Many interpretations of freedom.

Inspired by the beauty of Vietnamese visual culture, the CDA Independence Typeface was created as an open creative resource, empowering you to freely express your unique design voice.

Using this font family, you can freely develop artwork across various formats—from graphic posters and typographic statements to other visual art products.

The journey to explore freedom does not belong to any fixed formula or solution. Truly distinctive work only stems from how you synthesize your own unique experiences and perspectives.
